PRISONS JOBS UPDATE: See Interview Venues and Dates for 4800 Ugandans Shortlisted for Government Payroll Jobs as Warders, Wardresses

The Uganda Prison Service (UPS) will conduct interviews for a little over 4800 Ugandans shortlisted  for government payroll jobs as warders and wardresses sometime this month.

The interviews will be conducted at several national recruitment centers scattered across the country, according to the secretary of the prisons council.

The shortlisted candidates will do both written and oral interviews starting from May 12, 2025, to May 16, 2025.

“Only shortlisted candidates should appear on the dates allocated to them to avoid overcrowding at the recruitment centers,” noted Prisons Council secretary.

“Shortlisted candidates should come along with all their original academic documents and National Identity card as submitted to the Secretary Uganda Prisons Council, a writing pad and a pen.”

In this report, we look at the recruitment centers for each Uganda Prisons region and date for each district.

The recruitment centers of prison regions of South Eastern, Iganga, East Central (Jinja & Mukono) will be Jinja Boma Grounds and Mukono District Headquarters.

Shortlisted candidates from the districts of Namayingo, Buyende, and Bugiri will do their interviews on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Jinja Boma Grounds.

Shortlisted candidates from the districts of Namutumba, Kaliro, and Iganga will do their interviews on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Jinja Boma Grounds.

Shortlisted candidates from the districts of Luuka, Mayuge, and Bugweri will do their interviews on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Jinja Boma Grounds.

Shortlisted candidates from the districts of Kamuli, Jinja, and Jinja City will do their interviews on Thursday, 15th May, 2025 at Jinja Boma Grounds.

Shortlisted candidates from the districts of Mukono, Buikwe, Kayunga, and Buvuma will do their interviews on Friday, 16th May, 2025 at Mukono District Headquarters.

For Mid-Eastern A (Soroti only), interviews will be at Soroti Sports Ground with candidates from Kapelebyong, and Katakwi doing interviews on Monday, 12th May, 2025; those from Kumi on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; Amuria on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; Soroti and Soroti City on Thursday, 15th May, 2025; and Ngora on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For Mid-Eastern B/North Eastern (Moroto & Kotido) prison region, interviews will be at Soroti Sports Ground for Kaberamaido and Bukedea on Monday, 12th May, 2025; as well as Kalaki and Serere on  Tuesday, 13th May, 2025.

Candidates for the districts of Moroto, Nakapiripirit, Nabilatuk, Napak, and Amudat will be at Moroto Boma Grounds on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.

Candidates for Kotido, Abim, Kaabong, and Karenga will be at Kotido Boma Grounds on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For Eastern prison region, interviews will be at Eastern Mbale Municipal Stadium for Kween, Kapchorwa, and Busia on Monday, 12th May, 2025; Bukwo, Tororo, and Kibuku on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025;  Butebo, Pallisa, Namisindwa, and Bududa on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; Budaka, Butaleja, and Sironko on Thursday, 15th May, 2025; and Bulambuli, Manafwa, Mbale, and Mbale City on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For the prisons region of North Central/Kampala Extra/Mid-Western-Hoima, interviews will be at Prisons Show Grounds Luzira for candidates for Wakiso on Monday, 12th May 2025 and Tuesday, 13th May, 2025.

Candidates for the districts of Nakaseke, Luweero, and Nakasongola will do their interviews at Kasana-Luwero Play Grounds on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.

For candidates from the districts of Buliisa, Hoima, Hoima City, Kiboga, Kikuube, and Kyankwanzi will do their interviews at Hoima Boma Grounds on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.

For Central/Kampala Extra/Southern/Kooki prisons region, interviews will be at Prisons Show Grounds Luzira for candidates from Kampala on Monday, 12th May 2025 and Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; at Mpigi Police Playgroundfor candidates from Butambala, Mpigi, and Gomba on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.

There will also be interviews at Ssaza Grounds for candidates from Ssembabule, Lyantonde, Kalungu, Lwengo, Bukomansimbi Masaka City, Masaka, Kalangala, Rakai, and Kyotera on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.

For North Western prisons region, interviews will be at Arua Central Police Grounds. Candidates from the districts of Yumbe, and Koboko will do their interviews on Monday, 12th May, 2025; those from Zombo, Pakwach, and Nebbi on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; those from Obongi, Moyo, and Maracha on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; those from Madi-Okollo, and Terego on Thursday, 15th May, 2025; and those from Arua, and Arua City  on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For south western prisons region, interviews will be at Kakyeka Stadium. Candidates from the districts of Isingiro, and Ibanda will do their interviews on Monday, 12th May, 2025; those from Kiruhura, Buhweju, and Mitooma on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; and those from Rubirizi, Bushenyi, and Sheema on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.

Shortlisted candidates from the districts of Ntungamo, Kitagwenda, and Kazo will do their interviews on Thursday, 15th May, 2025; while those from Rwampara, Mbarara, and Mbarara City will do theirs on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For Western/Mid Central prison region, interviews will be at Fort Portal Boma Grounds for candidates from Bunyangabu, Bundibugyo, and Ntoroko on Monday, 12th May, 2025; Kasese on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025;  Kyegegwa, and Kamwenge on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; as well as Kyenjojo, Kabarole, and Fort Portal City on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.

Interviews will also be conducted on Mubende District Headquarters for candidates from the districts of Kagadi, Kakumiro, Kassanda, Kibaale, Mityana, and Mubende on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For Mid Northern A prison region, interviews will be at Lira Mayor’s Garden for candidates from Oyam on Monday, 12th May, 2025; Apac on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; Alebtong on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; as well as candidates from Amolatar, and Otuke on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.

For Mid Northern B prison region, interviews will be at Lira Mayor’s Garden for candidates from the district of Kole on Monday, 12th May, 2025; Dokolo on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; Kwania and Lira on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; as well as Lira City on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.

For Northern/Mid-Western B-Masindi region, interviews will be at Gulu Kaunda Grounds for candidates from Lamwo, Agago, and Adjumani on Monday, 12th May, 2025; Kitgum, and Pader on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; Omoro, Amuru, and Nwoya on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025; as well as  Gulu, and Gulu City on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.

Interviews will also be conducted at Masindi Stadium for candidates from the districts of Kiryandongo, and Masindi on Friday, 16th May, 2025.

For Kigezi prisons region, interviews will be at Kigezi Kabale Stadium for candidates for the districts of Kanungu, and Kisoro on Monday, 12th May, 2025; Rukungiri on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025; as well as Rubanda, Rukiga, and Kabale on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.

MORE JOBS AT HEALTH MINISTRY, POLICE, SEED SCHOOLS
