Officials from assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) will brief first lady and Education Minister Janet Kataaha Kainembabazi Museveni ahead of the official release of results from the 2022 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
The ‘delayed’ release of the 2022 PLE results has left parents, candidates and schools anxious. But if the latest revelation from a top government official is anything to go by, then the results could be out in a matter of just a few days.
The issue of the release made it to Parliament. In response, Hamson Obua, the Government Chief Whip, said the date for the release of PLE results has not yet been set but would be decided in a meeting between Uneb officials and Minister Janet Museveni.
According to GCW Obua, the meeting in which the first lady will be briefed on how hundreds of candidates performed in PLE exams conducted last November.
“Uneb will brief the Minister of Education and Sports tomorrow [Wednesday, January 25, 2023] and in that meeting, a date [for the release of the results] will be set.”
Earlier today, Uneb dismissed social media rumors which claimed the 2022 PLE results would be released today. (See Details Here).
