The Education Service Commission (ESC) under the Ministry of Education and Sports has released an additional shortlist for teachers and non-teaching staff who have qualified to move to the next stage of the recruitment exercise for staff under UGIFT seed schools in Ankole region.

The Education Service Commission is in the process of conducting oral interviews and administering aptitude tests for tens of thousands of applicants who applied for a few thousand jobs available in seed schools scattered across the country.

The aptitude tests and oral interviews are being administered per region or cluster (which may include two or more regions).

All the interviews and tests are being conducted in Kampala, including at Makerere University College of Computing and Information Science (CoCIS) and at schools like Lubiri SS.

The additional shortlist for Ankole includes candidates shortlisted for the role of Education Officer for ICT at Ndibarema Memorial SS Nsiika in Buhweju District, which falls under Cluster 2.

It also includes teachers shortlisted for Education Officer jobs for Mathematics at St Kizito High School Magambo in Rubirizi District, also under Cluster 2.

The shortlisted candidates responded to an advert that was sent out on December 23, 2024 for the posts under UGIFT schools, Department of Secondary Education, in the Ministry of Education and Sports.

The aptitude tests will be administered on Thursday, 22nd May 2025 at Makerere University, College of Computing and Information Science.

“Please come along with your national identity card, school identity card and a blue or black pen only,” Education Service Commission secretary Asuman Lukwago informed the shortlisted candidates.
