Main opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) has released the lists with names of confirmed flagbearers in 2026 elections, per district, in the local government batch.
The lists released by the NUP Election Management Committee indicate flagbearers for positions like mayors, district chairpersons and councilors.
Notably, NUP, led by Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, has confirmed their blessing for MP Ronald Balimwezo to challenge Erias Lukwago, a People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) principal for Kampala Capital City mayoral race.
