State House Confirms Appointment of New KCCA Bosses, Executive Director Hajat Sharifah Buzeki and Deputy ED Benon Kigenyi

Uganda’s State House has confirmed that President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has appointed new Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Hajat Sharifah Buzeki and Deputy ED Benon Kigenyi.

With President Yoweri Museveni convinced about the capacity of Hajat Buzeki and Kigenyi to transform the capital Kampala, The Pearl Times has learnt, Public Service will move to formalize their appointments.

After that, Head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet Lucy Nakyobe will officially confirm the appointments of Buzeki and Kigenyi.

“It’s true that His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed a new Executive Director of KCCA in the names of Hajat Sharifah Buzeki, and Mr. Benon Kigenyi as her Deputy,” said deputy presidential press secretary Faruk Kirunda in a statement seen by The Pearl Times.

“Their names have been  forwarded to Public Service for formalisation. When the process is completed, the Head Public Service/Secretary to Cabinet will formally confirm the appointments. Congratulations to Hajat Buzeki and Mr. Kigenyi for catching the eye of the Appointing Authority.”

New KCCA Executive Director Hajat Sharifah Buzeki will replace Frank Rusa who has been acting city authority ED following the sacking of Dorothy Kisaka for whom the ghosts of Kiteezi landfill later returned to haunt. (See Details Here and There).
