Assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) has issued a warning to head teachers and the public about conmen claiming to change PLE results for money.
The board also warns head teachers against impersonators claiming to be Uneb Security Committee members, asking for money to improve grades or remove suspected malpractice cases.
“… the Board once again advises Heads of Centres not to be tricked by impersonators claiming to be members of the Uneb Security Committee and conning them of money,” noted Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, Principal Public Relations Officer.
“Such Fraudsters allege that they can either help schools improve the grades of their candidates, or remove them from the list of suspected cases of examination malpractice.”
Uneb stressed it does not worth that way. It called on the public to report such cases to the police or Uneb’s toll-free lines.
“This is not true and the Board does not operate like that. We do not condone such a vice, and therefore appeal to the public to report such cases to the police or inform the Board through its toll Free Lines; 0800‑111‑427; 0800 211 077.”
The assessment body has assured Ugandans that whistleblowers will be protected under the board’s policy.
“Anyone providing us with useful information to this effect will be protected under the Board’s whistle blower’s policy,” the Uneb spokesperson said.
Uneb has also given an important update on the PLE 2025 results release date, as reported Here.
