LIST: Top 200 Best Performing PLE 2024 Schools in Buganda (Central Uganda) Region (in All Municipalities and Districts)

Pupils of KY Day and Boarding Primary School, one of the best PLE 2024 schools in Buganda

A number of districts and municipalities in the Central Region of Uganda or Buganda Region are known for their good performance in national exams. In this report, The Pearl Times looks at the list of top 300 best performing PLE 2024 schools in Buganda (Central Uganda) region in all municipalities and districts.

This Pearl Times ranking of Central Uganda (Buganda) schools is based on an analysis of the results recently released by Education Minister Janet Museveni after Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) briefed her.

For this list, the aggregate average score is the basis for what are listed hereunder as top best performing PLE 2024 schools in Buganda (Central Uganda) region .

“To understand this ranking, imagine a district with only two candidates: one with aggregate four and another with aggregate 36. The average aggregate score is 20  four plus 36, then divide the total by two — the number of candidates. Simply: (04+36=40; 40/2=20),” The Pearl Times editor has previously explained the concept of the average aggregate score HERE.

In Mubende District, for example, the best performing school there was Bright Star Primary School which had an average aggregate score of 11.95 for its 22 candidates. This means that the average aggregate score was well within the first grade or division one which ranges from aggregate four two 12.

What this means is that there could have candidates with in division one, two and maybe other grades. To get the average, you add all the aggregate scores for the 22 candidates at Bright Star Primary School.

Then, you get the total for all the candidates and divide it by 22 (the number of candidates at that Uneb centre or school). The result is the average aggregate score.

Sticking with Mubende District, Bright Star Primary School is followed by New Life Preparatory School Kasambya which has an average aggregate score of 12.83 for its 23 candidates.

In third position for Mubende District best performing schools Good Life Integrated Primary School which had 40 candidates and an average score of 12.98.

In fourth position is Fr Alex Memorial PS Maujjo which had 39 candidates and an average aggregate score of 13.93. In fifth place is Kasambya Primary School which had 24 candidates and an average score of 14.04.

A Chance for Children Primary School is the sixth position with an average aggregate score of 14.90 for its 29 candidates.

A Chance for Children Primary School is followed by Maryland Primary School with 30 candidates and an average aggregate score of 15.33.

Completing the list of Mubende District top best performing PLE 2024 schools is St Zoe Day and Boarding Primary School with 15 candidates and an average aggregate score of 15.71; and Mary Star Bright Primary School with an average aggregate score of 15.75 for its 44 candidates.

For Mubende Municipality, All Parents Primary School is leading with an average aggregate score of 9.50 for 20 candidates; followed by St Paul Junior School with 75 candidates and an average aggregate score of 11.32.

Following St Paul Junior School are Mubende Public Model Primary School with an average aggregate score of 13.03 for 40 candidates; and Kasumba Nursery and Primary School with an average aggregate score of 13.43 for 53 candidates.

Next are Mubende Infants Primary School with an average aggregate score of 14.39 for 88 candidates; St Mugagga Primary School with an average aggregate score of 14.75 for 40 candidates.
