Maya Musuuza Mirembe’s 13th birthday party has reunited Ugandan singers Edrisah Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo and Rema Namakula – at least for the time of the celebrations.
Maya Musuuza is daughter to Eddy Kenzo. Rema Namakula was Eddy Kenzo’s lover but the singing couple separated a few years ago.
Rema Namakula was the first to publicly move on. She married health worker Dr Hamza Ssebunya and they have a child together.
Eddy Kenzo would also this year reveal that he had been in love with Phiona Nyamutoro, the national female youth MP who was appointed junior minister in March. (See Details Here and There).
But when time came for Maya Musuuza’s 13th birthday party, Rema Namakula and her husband Hamza Ssebunya came to celebrate. Phiona Nyamutoro was also in attendance.
The four took photos together and smiled to celebrate the teenager’s birthday and the reunion. Kenzo and Hamza Ssebunya were pictured shaking hands and smiling. Aren’t things supposed to be this way?
Meanwhile, away from marriage and love, things have been going on well for Eddy Kenzo in recent months.
A BET award winner, Eddy Kenzo was weeks ago appointed senior presidential advisor on creatives and handed his first assignment by President Yoweri Museveni. He has also recently clashed with opposition leader and fellow singer Bobi Wine, accusing him of copying his songs. (See Details Here and There).
