Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) has confirmed that singer Patrick Mulwana aka Alien Skin reported fellow musician Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso to police on charges of aggravated robbery and malicious damage to property.
Although some reports had earlier indicated that Alien Skin had forgiven Pallaso and that he would not report to police, KMP deputy police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed that the Fangone Forest boss had reported Pius Mayanja and his gang to the force.
The gangs loyal to the rival camps of Alien Skin and Pallaso were engaged in chaotic scenes during a performance in Buloba.
It is said that after the chaos in Buloba, the Pallaso gang raided Fangone Forest boss Alien Skin’s home at about 3am of January 02.
But security reportedly thwarted the attack, repulsing the gang whose members were said to be aligned to Pallaso.
The same gang said to belong to Pallaso reportedly attacked the residence of Alien Skin.
During the attack, a number of motor vehicles were left damaged and so were the glass windows.
Police say they are hunting for Pallaso’s gang after Alien Skin reported them for the raid.
It is not yet clear if police plan to interrogate Alien Skin for the chaos at Buloba.
But Alien Skin has previously gone away without punishment after such attacks. Weeks ago, his gang raided the headquarters of Bobi Wine’s NUP party at night, as reported Here.
While police has warned that singers and their gangs will pay for their sins, Minister Balaam Barugahara has announced tough measures to destroy musicians’ gangs, and NTV Uganda has banned Alien Skin and Pallaso music. (See Details Here, There and Over There).
