No One Will Be Spared: Museveni Directs Muhoozi on Operation Maliza Ufisadi as Anita Among Allies Panic

Commander-in-Chief of armed forces President Yoweri Museveni has directed Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba on operation maliza ufisadi as Anita Among allies panic.

In the past three days, Anita Annet Among has found herself at the center of an unprecedented wave of coordinated security operations, widely linked to an expanding corruption probe.

The operations, involving a joint team of police, military units, and intelligence agencies, have targeted multiple properties associated with the embattled political figure, signaling one of the most intense crackdowns on a sitting or former top government official in recent years.

The first and most dramatic raid occurred at her residence in Nakasero, where heavily armed security personnel cordoned off the area and conducted a prolonged search.

Operatives from the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), backed by military elements, restricted access to the premises as they combed through documents and other materials. The operation lasted several hours, with the home remaining under tight security deployment throughout.

Following the Nakasero operation, the crackdown quickly spread to other properties linked to Among, including residences in Kigo and Ntinda. These raids were described as coordinated and intelligence-led, with security teams reportedly sealing off premises and conducting detailed searches for financial records and other evidence tied to alleged illicit wealth accumulation.

Simultaneously, reports indicated heightened security activity around properties in Bukedea—Among’s political stronghold and home for which she is District Woman MP—and Buyende, where  her husband Moses Magogo is MP.

While details of full-scale raids in these areas remain less publicly documented, sources point to increased surveillance, restricted access, and the presence of security operatives monitoring movements and potential removal of assets.

These operations are closely tied to high-level deliberations at State House Nakasero and State House Entebbe, where President Yoweri Museveni reportedly met with senior security and political leaders this week, as reported Here.

According to sources, Among was questioned about the source of her wealth and recent high-profile expenditures, including the controversial acquisition of a luxury vehicle and her UK house, both of which have sparked public debate. (See Details Here).

Politically, the raids come at a time of intense internal contestation within the ruling establishment, particularly over the parliamentary speakership. The timing—coinciding with reported directives for Among to step aside and shifting endorsements from key power centers—has fueled speculation that the anti-corruption operations may also be intertwined with broader political realignments, though officials have not publicly confirmed such links.

Both Museveni and his son Muhoozi have endorsed Defence Minister Jacob Oboth Oboth to replace Anita Among as speaker. (See Details Here and There).

OPERATION MALIZA UFISADI

Gen Muhoozi has revealed that the operations against Anita Among are part of the Operation Maliza Ufisadi, which means ‘Operation End Corruption.’

The first son, presidential advisor on special operations, Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) chairman, and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), has made it clear that the operation has just started and that no stone will be left unturned.

“The security forces under the direction and instructions of the Commander-in-Chief launched Operation ‘Maliza Ufisadi’ the other day,” wrote Muhoozi.

“We shall expand this operation and apprehend all culprits. No one will be spared.”

The statement by Muhoozi has not made things easier for allies of Anita Among who are reportedly said to have switched off their phones or gone underground.

Meanwhile, witchcraft items and billions of Shillings as well as millions of dollars were reportedly found in Anita Among’s homes, as reported Here and There.
