President Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has appointed Odrek Rwabwogo, his son-in-law, as a senior presidential advisor for special duties.
Rwabwogo is husband to Museveni’s daughter Patience, a pastor at Covenant Nations Church in Kampala.
He is a graduate of Makerere university (Economics and Political Science), and Cardiff Wales university (Mass media and Journalism).
Also appointed to become presidential advisors are former Bushenyi Woman MP Mary Busingye Karooro Okurut and former junior minister for youth and children Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi.
Karooro, the immediate former minister in charge of general duties in the office of the prime minister, will be senior presidential advisor on public relations, while Nakiwala will be senior presidential advisor on gender and youth affairs.
Rwabwogo, who married the second daughter of the president Patience Rwabwogo who is a pastor of Convenant Nations church based in Kampala.
This comes after the names of Karoro and Nakiwala could not appear on both state and cabinet ministers list Museveni issued.
