Commander Land Forces first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and CDF Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, the Commander-in-chief of Uganda’s armed forces, has appointed first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba Commander Land Forces, and Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
Lt Gen Peter Elwelu is new deputy CDF while Maj Gen Leopold Kyanda is Joint Chief of staff.
Gen Mbadi, who was elevated from Lt Gen to General, replaces Gen David Muhoozi who is the new internal affairs minister.
Pearl Times News accurately projected Mbadi would become CDF.
Also appointed and reshuffled are: Maj Gen Sam Okiding deputy commander Land Forces, Brig Gen Bob Ogik Chief of staff Land Forces, Brig Daniel Kakono Commander Field Artillery Division, Brig Gen Peter Chandia acting SFC commander, Brig Gen Felix Buzisoori second in command SFC, Lt Gen Charles Angina posted to foreign affairs, Maj Gen Sam Kavuma posted to OWC as second in command, Lt Gen Joseph Musanyufu posted to Civil Service, Maj Gen Kasura Kyomukama deployed in civil service, Brig Gen Charles Kisembo commandant Kyankwanzi Political School
