First lady Janet Museveni’s Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Education Service Commission (ESC) has shortlisted up to 1,374 teachers and non-teaching staff for government payroll jobs in seed schools at secondary level.
The 1,374 shortlisted candidates are for Cluster Nine or West Nile under the recruitment exercise for teachers and non-teaching staff for secondary seed schools under the UGIFT program.
The shortlisted candidates for Cluster Nine or West Nile responded to ESC Advert No. 4/2024 published on December 23, 2024 for the posts of teaching staff or teachers – Education Officer (EO), and Assistant Education Officer (AEO); as well as Non-teaching Staff (NTS): Senior Accountant Assistant (SAA), Nurses, Stenographer Secretaries, Library Assistants and Laboratory Assistants.
“All EOs for the indicated subjects under Cluster 9: West Nile will do the Aptitude Test on Tuesday 15th April 2025 starting at 8:00 am,” noted secretary to ESC Dr Asuman Lukwago.
“All indicated AEOs and NTSs will do the Aptitude Test on Wednesday 16th April 2025 starting at 8:00 am.”
The ESC has also released the schedule for UGIFT Advert Number 4/2024 aptitude test for cluster 9 (West Nile).
The schedule indicates that on April 15, 2025, candidates shortlisted for the education officer jobs at Kerwa Seed SS Yumbe, Drajini Hill Seed SS and Ndhew Seed SS Nebbi will sit their aptitude tests at the Muni University Centre.
At the same centre, candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer, stenographer secretary and senior assistant accountant jobs for Ndhew Seed SS Nebbi, Kerwa Seed SS Yumbe, Drajini Hill Seed SS Yumbe and All Saints Seed SS Oluvu Maracha will do their aptitude tests on April 16, 2025.
Candidates shortlisted for the education officer jobs for All Saints Seed SS Oluvu Maracha, Arinyapi Seed SS Adjumani and Nyakaliso Seed SS Koboko will do their aptitude tests at the Mvara SS centre on April 15, 2025.
Candidates shortlisted for laboratory assistant, library assistant and enrolled nurse jobs for Ndhew Seed SS Nebbi, Kerwa Seed SS Yumbe, Drajini Hill Seed SS Yumbe, All Saints Seed SS Oluvu Maracha, Arinyapi Seed SS Adjumani St Peter’s Seed SS Arua, Gopele Seed SS Obongi and Nyakaliso Seed SS Koboko will do their aptitude tests at Mvara SS centre on April 16.
Candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for St Peter’s Seed SS Arua and Gopele Seed SS Obongi will do their aptitude tests at St Joseph’s College Ombachi on April 15 2025.
Candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer, stenographer secretary, and senior assistant accountant jobs for Gopele Seed SS Obongi, St Peter’s Seed SS Arua, Nyakaliso Seed SS Koboko and Arinyapi Seed SS will sit their aptitude tests at St Joseph’s College Ombachi centre on April 16.
“All Shortlisted applicants MUST appear for the Aptitude Tests as scheduled and MUST come along with National Identity Cards,” Dr Lukwago further informed the applicants.
“Those whose names do not appear on the shortlist under Cluster 9 should consider themselves unsuccessful.”
He added: “All services by the Education Service Commission are free of charge.”
