The Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Education Service Commission (ESC) has released the shortlists with names of 1300 teachers, non-teaching staff shortlisted for oral interviews for Buganda seed schools’ payroll jobs.
According to Dr Asuman Lukwago, the Secretary of the Education Service Commission, the list includes successful candidates from thousands who did aptitude tests under Cluster 10 or Buganda Region from April 22 to April 30, 2025.
Successful candidates, whose names appear on the shortlists for the eight seed schools in Buganda, will be subjected to oral interviews from Monday, May 5 to Monday, May 12, 2025.
The oral interviews will be conducted in Kampala at Kololo Senior Secondary School, SESEMAT Hostel, starting at 8:00am each day, according to Dr Lukwago.
“Shortlisted candidates should come along with originals of their academic/ professional certificates and transcripts, plus national identity cards,” he further noted.
“Candidates should endeavor to appear as scheduled. Requests for rescheduling will not be accepted. Candidates whose names do not appear on the list should consider themselves unsuccessful. Candidates should Note that services provided by Education Services Commission are free of charge.”
On the schedule, schools appears as follows: Gyagenda Memorial SS Kalangala Al , A2; Kasaali Seed S.S Kyotera Bl, B2; St John SS Nalongo Seed School Luweero Cl, C2; Katovu Seed SS Lwengo Dl, D2; Bweema Seed SS Buvuma El, E2; Nsambya Seed School Kyankyanzi Fl, F2; Kikamulo Seed SS Nakaseke Gl, G2; and Nakitoma SS Nakasongola H 1, H2.
For Gyagenda Memorial Seed SS in Kalangala District, up to 163 teachers and non-teaching staff have been shortlisted for oral interviews, according to a count done by The Pearl Times.
For Bweema Seed SS in Buvuma District, a total of 171 teachers and non-teaching staff have been shortlisted for oral interviews.
For Kasaali seed SS in Kyotera District, up to 152 teachers and non-teaching staff have been shortlisted for oral interviews, according to a count done by this reporter.
For St John’s Nalongo Seed SS in Luwero District, up to 185 teachers and non-teaching staff have been shortlisted for oral interviews, according to this publication’s count.
For Nsambya Seed SS in Kyankwanzi District, up to 149 teachers and non-teaching staff have been shortlisted for oral interviews.
The Pearl Times has counted up to 163 teachers and non-teaching staff shortlisted for oral interviews for jobs for Katovu Seed SS in Lwengo District.
Up to 155 teachers and non-teaching staff were shortlisted for oral interviews for jobs for Kikamulo Seed SS in Nakaseke District.
For Nakitoma Seed SS in Nakasongola District, up to 159 teachers and non-teaching staff were shortlisted for oral interviews for jobs.

Also doing interviews are over 3800 teachers and non-teaching staff shortlisted for Tooro and Bunyoro seed schools’ payroll jobs; as well as over 4300 from Elgon and Karamoja regions. (See names Here and There).
