Kyambogo University Government Admission List: See Names of Nearly 400 Students Admitted on National Merit Scheme

Kyambogo University Government Admission List: See Names of Nearly 400 Students Admitted Under National Merit Scheme FULL LIST: See Names of Students Admitted to Kyambogo University on Private Sponsorship for 2023-2024 Academic Year

The list showing the names of students admitted on government sponsorship under the national merit scheme at Kyambogo University has been released. 

The list was released by acting Academic Registrar Jerome Butamanya and approved by the Chairperson of the Kyambogo Admissions Board.

At least 381 students were given government scholarships given their performance in A-level exams, among other factors that contribute to cutoff points for university admission on government sponsorship.

Courses or academic programs for on which the students admitted include accounting and finance, vocational studies in agriculture with education, art and industrial design, power and automative engineering, architecture, administrative and secretarial science, and business administration.

Others include economics and statistics, electrical engineering, guidance and counselling, mechatronics and biomedical engineering, land economics, demography and reproductive health, chemical and process engineering, and building economics, among others.

GOVERNMENT ADMISSION LISTS FOR OTHER PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES

Every year, Government of Uganda sponsors about 4,000 students to pursue university education at public universities.

But over 70 per cent of those scholarships have been reserved for science-based courses or academic programs.

Apart from Lira University, other public universities include Makerere University, MUBS, Gulu University, Kyambogo University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Muni University, Busitema University, Kabale University, Soroti University and Mountains of the Moon University.
