Former spymaster Gen David Sejusa (previously Tinyefuuza) is a very interesting general and one who engages online even in circumstances where some of his rank and prominence would have pulled out the contempt card.
When a tweep named Ronah Ninsiima recently tweeted that “Sejusa will salute Muhoozi Kainerugaba whether he wants it or not,” the intention was clear: catching the attention of ‘the general of resistance.’
Yet, even fuming at the ‘insult,’ Sejusa moved to talk sense into Ninsiima and other Muhoozi-sts.
Sejusa described Ninsiima’s tweet and others by her friends as being full of ‘profanities.’
He also advised Kainerugaba to be careful with people like Ninsiima.
“I have headed intelligence services long enough to know enemies or potential enemies(fifth columnists) in an organisation. MK’s counterintelligence needs to pay attention to you and those like you!” wrote Sejusa.
“How does insulting a Four Star General and uttering profanities advance MK’s cause?”
MK are the initials for Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Even when political commentator Moses Khisa advised Sejusa to ignore some tweeps, the general insisted that the revolutionaries would not stop talking sense into the heads of some people.
“But surely Ndugu David, you can’t be responding to that trash. Far far beneath. Don’t,” advised Khisa.
“Understand you, but then, if We despise them, who will teach them? It’s them we have got; Our Own! Remember Parable of SOWER? Some Seeds fell on rocks, others were eaten by birds, others swept away by floods, but some fell on fertile ground and grew! That’s the way of revolutionaries; Got to talk!” replied Sejusa
In 2013, Sejusa claimed that there was a plan to eliminate officers in the UPDF and government that were opposed to a plan that would see Kainerugaba succeed his father Museveni.
Sejusa called this the ‘Muhoozi Project.’
It should be remembered that Kainerugaba celebrated his 48th birthday last weekend, with some observers calling it a launch of the first son’s political ambitions.
