Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi has granted a request by pro-Muhoozi MPs Lillian Aber and Linos Ngompek to have a football match between legislators and UPDF in celebration of the 48th birthday of first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Aber, the Kitgum District Woman MP, and Ngompek, the Kibanda North legislator, had written to the CDF asking for a match between Parliament and UPDF as part of celebrations of Lt Gen Kainerugaba’s 48th birthday.
On April 25, Maj Gen Leopold Kyanda, the UPDF Joint Chief of Staff, wrote back to Aber and Ngompek granting their request for a football match.
Describing the match as “a golden opportunity that we would not wish to miss,” Maj Gen Kyanda told the two first-time legislators that CDF Mbadi has even scheduled a football match for April 29 at 3pm at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
Kyanda further assured the two MPs that the UPDF has already formed the team to battle the MPs.
