The list of Uganda’s best Schools in sciences (science subjects of Chemistry, Biology and Physics) is out. The list is based on UCE 2023 results as released by assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb).

The list of Best Performing UCE 2023 Schools Per District in the whole of Uganda is out, following the release of results from last year’s Uganda Certificate of Education as released by Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) under First Lady Janet Museveni’s Ministry of Education and Sports. 

Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo, St Mary’s SS Kitende, King’s College Budo, St Joseph’s SS, Naggalama and St Mary’s College Kisubi are the best UCE 2023 schools in Buganda (Central Uganda) region, according to an analysis by The Pearl Times.

Kitabi Seminary and Bweranyangi Girls SS are the best UCE 2023 Bushenyi schools, a Pearl Times analysis of results from Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) has indicated. 

Uganda Martyrs SS, Namugongo, Seeta HS St Joseph’s SS, Naggalama, St Mary’s SS, Kitende, Seeta HS, Mukono, Mengo SS, King’s Col, Budo, St Mary’s Col, Lugazi, Mt St Mary’s, Namagunga, St Mary’s Col, Kisubi are Uganda’s 10 best UCE 2023 schools, according to the number of aggregate 8-in-8 ranking by The Pearl Times.

Ugandan President Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni seemed to have paused his son’s 2026 presidential ambitions after Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s MK Movement became the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), a civic organization registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) – and not a political party registered with the Electoral Commission (EC).

Schools from Ntungamo, Isingiro, Mbarara, Fort Portal City, Kyegegwa, Rukungiri, Mitooma, Kyenjojo and Kasese Municipality make the top 10 of the best 240 PLE 2023 schools from the Western Uganda region’s Ankole, Kigezi, Bunyoro and Tooro sub-regions, a Pearl Times analysis of results from Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) examinations done last year indicates. 

Schools from Kampala, Nansana Municipality, Mpigi, Mukono Municipality, Mpigi, Kalungu, Wakiso and Masaka City make the top 10 of Buganda (or central region) best PLE 2023 schools, according to a Pearl Times analysis of results from the recently released of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) examinations done last year.

Sheema Municipality’s St Mukasa Seminary, Fort Portal City’s Tooro Parents Education Centre, Kisoro Municipality’s St Allen’s Primary School, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality’s Parent Care Primary School and Bundibugyo’s Ntandi SDA Integrated Primary School are the best schools in Western Uganda, according to the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results released by the Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb).
