LIST: Best, Worst Performing Primary Schools in Mbarara City in PLE 2024 Results

The list of best and worst performing primary schools in Mbarara City in PLE 2024 has been revealed. This list is based on data obtained by The Pearl Times on the performance of schools.

Mbarara City comprises two political and education constituencies: Mbarara North and Mbarara South.

Overall, Mbarara City had a total of 6,170 candidates. Of these,  2,099 or 34 per cent scored first grade (Division One); 3,433 or 55.6 per cent got second grade (Division II); 378 candidates or 6.1 per cent passed in third grade; while 125 candidates or 2.0 per cent passed in Grade Four.

Still in Mbarara City, 84 candidates or 1.4 per cent failed, meaning they ‘scored’ Grade U and were advised to repeat primary seven; while 51 registered candidates missed the papers and were graded as X.

Mbarara North had a total of 2639 candidates. Of these,  984 or 37.3 per cent scored first grade (Division One); 1,388 or 52.6 per cent got second grade (Division II); 150 candidates or 5.7 per cent passed in third grade; while 51 candidates or 1.9 per cent passed in Grade Four.

Still in Mbarara City North, 32 candidates or 1.2 per cent failed, meaning they ‘scored’ Grade U and were advised to repeat primary seven; while 34 registered candidates missed the papers and were graded as X.

Mbarara City South had 3,529 candidates sitting PLE in 2024, according to figures seen by The Pearl Times.

Of these,  1,115 or or 31.6 per cent scored first grade (Division One); 2,045 or 57.9 per cent got second grade (Division II); 228 candidates or 6.5 per cent passed in third grade; while 74 candidates or 2.1 per cent passed in Grade Four.

Still in Mbarara City South, 52 candidates or 1.5 per cent failed, meaning they ‘scored’ Grade U and were advised to repeat primary seven; while 17registered candidates missed the papers and were graded as X.

According to The Pearl Times analysis, the top schools in Mbarara City are St Kizito Primary School which had 98.6 per cent of its candidates in first grade and only one in second grade.

St Kizito Primary School is followed by Mbarara progressive Primary School which had 95.5 per cent of its candidates in first grade and only one in second grade.

Mbarara progressive Primary School was followed by Katatumba which had 94.1 per cent of its candidates passing in first grade.

In fourth place is Mbarara Preparatory School with 87.5 per cent of its candidates passing in first grade; followed by Bright Future with 83.3 per cent of its candidates passing in first grade.

In sixth place was Katojo Biharwe with 75 per cent of candidates in first grade, followed by Ebenezer J-Nissi Primary School with 73.9 per cent in first grade.

In eighth position was Mbarara Junior with 66.3 per cent in first grade, followed by Kakukuru with 66 per cent in division one, with St Aloysius Primary School which has 61.8 per cent first grades completing the top 10 for Mbarara City in PLE 2024.

Mbarara City worst performing schools — which have no candidates passing in first and second grades are: Tukore Invalids, Rwariire Primary School, and Rwakishakiizi Primary School.

Mbarara City Schools Performance 106-109Others without any first and second grades in Mbarara City in PLE 2024 are Rukindo Primary School, Nyakahanga primary Schools, Nshungyezi Primary School, Mamita Standard Primary School and Madrasat Hamuza Primary School.
