President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni told the nation June 06 night Ugandan security agencies knew the killers of former assistant Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Kagezi, and their whereabouts.
On March 30, 2015, unknown assailants trailed Kagezi and shot her dead at Kiwatule Market.
Security agencies hit a dead end, with all those suspected of killing the prosecutor seemingly having no connection with one of the most high profile murders in recent years.
On the footnote of his Covid19 address, Museveni revealed Kagezi killers were hiding abroad.
This means that the foreign sovereign state where they are hiding is supposed to liaise with International Police (Interpol) to hand them over to Kampala.
“Even the killing of Joan Kagezi. The killers were identified but some were abroad,” said Museveni.
“They were supposed to use Interpol to look for them.”
