Meeting at Kololo Independence Grounds June 07 endorsed a proposal by party chairman President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni to increase the size of cabinet by one junior minister.
The number of cabinet (senior or full) ministers will be 29.
The president will also appoint 51 junior ministers (ministers of state).
In total, Museveni’s 2021-2026 cabinet will have 80 ministers.
Museveni is expected to name his cabinet soon.
His party recently released names of MPs that will sit on Parliament’s Appointments Committee.
