Uganda has been hot by cyber attacks after Muhoozi threats to capture Iranian capital Tehran, the country’s military chief has revealed.
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son to long serving Ugandan president, his senior advisor on special operations, and Uganda’s chief of defence forces (CDF), recently stirred an online storm when he threatened to capture the Iranian capital Tehran.
Muhoozi said a UPDF brigade would capture Tehran within a fortnight. “I hear our friends in Israel are looking for a division to capture Tehran. Personally, I think a division is too much. A UPDF Brigade would do the job quickly,” he wrote on microblogging site X, formerly Twitter.
“It can’t take us more than 2 weeks to capture Tehran. A UPDF Brigade is enough for that job
Muhoozi further noted that the Ugandan army stood in solidarity with Israel, and made it clear that the UPDF was ready to enter the war to fight Iran if does not stop and Iran if Iran and allied countries seek to delete Israel from the face of the earth.
“We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it. But any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!” wrote Muhoozi.
“We stand with Israel because we are Christians. Saved by the Holy Son of God…Jesus Christ the only One who can forgive sins. The Bible says ‘Blessed are you Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword.’ (Deuteronomy 33:29).”
He added: “Israel stood with us when we were nobodys in the 1980s and 1990s. Why wouldn’t we defend her now that our GDP is $100 billion? One of the largest in Africa.”
Now, it has emerged that several cyber attacks were launched against Uganda after Muhoozi’s tweets.
Muhoozi says the cyber attacks are under investigations and that those behind them as well as their supporters will face punishment.
“After my tweets the other day in support of Israel, our country experienced numerous cyber attacks,” wrote Muhoozi.
“We shall investigate all of them. We will take strong action against those who sent and supported those attacks.”

This revelation has left some worried as to if this is a warning from Iran, and if Tehran could strike Uganda, which is about 7000km away.
He also reiterated support for Israel, quoting Jesus Christ.
“Israel is on the side of Africa and Africans. It has been for about 40 years now. To those in the West who cannot understand these things. I will paraphase Jesus Christ by saying ‘We came into this world to give sight to those who cannot see…” he further wrote.
As usual, Minister Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi encouraged Muhoozi, “Chairman, all must be arrested and arraigned in court once found . Our love for the Israel is biblical as a Christian nation . Our nation motto in God we trust we can’t not fail to associate with the anointed Nation.”
Days ago, Iran’s embassy mocked Muhoozi, suggesting he is a comedian, as reported Here.
Muhoozi has previously brewed diplomatic storms with his tweets. Referred by some as a tweeting general, Muhoozi threatened to capture Kenya’s capital Nairobi within two weeks. His father Museveni apologized on his behalf. (See Details Here and There).
Meanwhile, Muhoozi has ordered the arrest of two top UPDF generals and another in charge of defence intelligence, as reported Here and There.
