Uganda Cranes hopes of progression in Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cameroon takes a different shift as they lose to debutants Togo at Stade de la Reunification in Douala.
The cranes who have participated in five successive CHAN tournaments were beaten on Friday Night by yet again Togolese side when defender Paul Mbowa converted the ball into his own net in the 48th minute.
Substitute Saidi Kyeyune responded with a powerful effort from 40 yards into the Togolese net to level the matters before Richard Yendoutie Nane put the away team in front to claim to the three points.
The score line means Uganda sits bottom to the group C topped by defending Champions Morrocco, then Togo and Rwanda.
For Uganda to go through the group stage, needs to beat Morroco in the final game and Togo should have a goalless draw with Rwanda.
