Ugandan singer Hamidu Sekyeru aka Papa Cidy has made a shocking ‘gay’ confession, revealing his links to the LGBTQ pride movement, and mentioning Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Cathedral in a statement the man of God may not like.
Papa Cidy, whose music may not be known by most of the Ugandan young generation, is about 38 years old. He left Uganda for ‘outside countries’ to seek better employment opportunities.
In his confession, Papa Cidy said he had been hiding his links with the LGBTQ community but did not want to hide anymore.
Papa Cidy noted that time had come for him to reveal his LGBTQ link after many years of hiding. He then made mention of Pastor Kayanja and Miracle Center Cathedral.
“I am tired of hiding myself, it’s time to be out,” wrote Papa Cidy. “Pastor Kayanja ebyaffe obimanyi [you know our things]. Miracle Center Cathedral.”
LGBTQ activities are outlawed in Uganda.
Other Ugandan musicians who have joined the LGBTQ movement include Julie Mutesasira, a former gospel singer and wife to a pastor. (See Details Here and There).
