LIST: Owobusobozi Bisaka and 81 Others Awarded NRA-Like Patriotic Numbers by Muhoozi

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has released another batch of members who have been assigned official “Patriotic Officer” numbers, with controversial religious leader Owobusobozi Bisaka among the latest names to receive an identification number under the organisation led by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Bisaka has been designated PO125, placing him among a growing list of prominent Ugandans being publicly identified as Patriotic Officers within the PLU structure.

The latest list was released by PLU General Secretary Twalla Fadil on behalf of the organisation’s chairman, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

“Compatriots! On behalf of the Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, I am pleased to officially release another list of Patriotic Officers (POs) and their assigned numbers,” Fadil said.

The numbering begins at PO100 and extends to PO181, covering politicians, professionals, religious figures, businesspeople, cultural figures and other individuals.

Among those named are Nzaire Shedrack Kaguta (PO100), Lukman Mwerere (PO101), Minister Adonia Ayebare (PO102), Ambrose Kibuuka (PO103), Sheikh Kasim Kamugisha (PO104), Jovent Kyarimpa (PO105), Engineer Asiimwe Jonard (PO106), Jay Patel (PO107), Juma Witonze (PO108), Engineer Isaac Wani (PO109) and Richard Mpagi (PO110).

Other political figures on the list include Charity Kibaaju Kamuhanda (PO111), Tom Bright Amooti (PO112), Flora Natumanya (PO116), Vincent Freedom Kaheeru (PO117), Matia Kasaijja (PO119), Patrick Musinguzi (PO121), Aza Tom (PO124), Jackson Kafuuzi (PO126), Jesca Ababiku (PO133), Fred Rwakaizi (PO134), Norah Bigirwa (PO139), James Olobo (PO145), Veronica Kadogo (PO146), Emma Rose Cherukut (PO147), Bildad Moses Adome (PO148) and several others.

The list also includes Prince Ashirafuh Rweyeshere (PO122), Dr Grace Rubare (PO128), Dr Byarugaba James (PO129), Faruk Kirunda (PO132), Dr Zziwa Shafik (PO143), Dr Frank Nyakahuma (PO152), Hajjat Kenyangi Sofia Safina (PO156), Moses Kipsiro (PO166) and Amb. Muhindo Muthahi.

The release adds to the PLU’s continuing effort to establish a formal identity for individuals associated with its patriotic mobilisation structures. The use of sequential numbers has drawn attention because of its resemblance to the numbered identification system historically associated with members of Uganda’s National Resistance Army during the struggle that brought President Yoweri Museveni to power.

The latest batch also contains a wide range of names from different parts of Uganda and different professional backgrounds, including women such as Mary Twesigomwe (PO123), Joan Komugisha (PO127), Chebet Sandra (PO130), Caroline Mworozi (PO131), Grace Mutebile (PO136), Shilla Amulo (PO137), Hellen Nandera (PO138), Walemba Daphine (PO140), Kagweri Dorcus (PO141), Ssempala Patience (PO142), Madina Katushabe (PO144), Jackie Kyogabiirwe (PO151), Sylvia Kakyo (PO154), Nina Ankunda (PO155), Adrine Kobusingye (PO157), Prossy Nabayinda (PO163) and Aisha Lumolo Nabulo (PO167).

Among the final names are Richard Elimu (PO164), Mastula Namatovu (PO165), Brian Mauso (PO169), Abubakar Muhwezi (PO169), Jackie Namuyonga (PO170), Kafooko Igga (PO171), Ojok Bonne Isaac Oyite (PO172), Robinson Acen (PO173), Ivan Muganga (PO174), Komakech Walter Oyoo (PO175), Wokorach Simon Peter (PO176), Dida Julius L. (PO177), Aineomugusha Bruce (PO178), Lapyem Emmanuel (PO179), Kabazarwe Annah (PO180) and Kanatta Richard, associated with the Boda Boda Initiative, listed as PO181.

The PLU statement congratulated the newly designated officers and called on them to demonstrate commitment to the organisation and the country.

“We congratulate all the newly appointed Patriotic Officers and urge them to serve with diligence, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to PLU and our Motherland,” the statement said.

The announcement ended with the PLU’s official patriotic motto: “For God and My Country.”
