Former MP and NRM flagbearer Onesmus Twinamatsiko has been sent to prison for slapping Robinah Nabbanja, the occupant of the office of the prime minister of Uganda.
Onesmus Twinamatsiko, the flagbearer for the NRM for the Bugangaizi East parliamentary seat, and Nabbanja are said to have been involved in confrontation at a tally center.
Reports suggested that Nabbanja had been punched in the face during an altercation over the announced of the flagbearer for Bugangaizi East.
The altercation reportedly involved allegations of vote rigging, with each party accusing the other of having a hand in subverting the will of the people in a poll where voters lined behind the posters or agents of their preferred candidates.

Now, Onesmus Twinamatsiko has been sent to prison for slapping Nabbanja. Twinamatsiko was arraigned in court and charges read to him.
Years ago, Twinamatsiko courted controversy over his statements that seemed to condone wife beating as a way of “streamlining them.”
Activists were up in arms, calling for his expulsion from parliament over his statements.
Nabbanja, a woman who rose to fame in a shock appointment to the office of prime minister, has been a recipient of criticism.
A fellow MP said that Nabbanja was not even fit to be a manager of a garbage collecting company. (See Details Here and There).
