The Education Service Commission (ESC) under the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) has shortlisted nearly 150 Ugandans for various positions in the health education and training institutions as well as the Directorate of Education Standards (DES).
The positions include principals and deputy principals of the health education and training institutions (such as Schools of Nursing and Midwifery and Allied Health Training Institutions).
Others are Principal Health Tutors and Senior Health Tutors at Schools of Nursing and Midwifery and Allied Health Training Institutions.
Schools of Nursing and Midwifery and Allied Health Training Institutions are managed under the Department of Health education and Training Institutions at the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The ESC has also shortlisted a number of candidates for jobs as senior inspectors at the Directorate of Education Standards.
Oral interviews for these positions began on Monday, April 8, 2024. They will continue on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, and will end on April 12, 2024.
“The secretary, Education Service Commission informs applicants for the posts under the Department of Health education and Training Institutions, and the Directorate of Education Standards (DES) who responded to advert no.5/2023, that the shortlist for successful candidates have been released,” announced ESC secretary Dr Asuman Lukwago.
“Oral interviews will be conducted on 8th, 9th and 12th April 2024 at the Education Service Commission offices on 1st floor Farmers’ House Parliament Avenue, Kampala. Shortlisted candidates should ensure that they appear on the dates and boards as scheduled.”
Dr Lukwago further guided on the interview requirements.
“Request for rescheduling shall not be accepted. Shortlisted candidates should come along with originals of their employment records plus academic/professional transcripts and certificates and valid identification,” he noted.
“Please note that the services rendered by the education service commission are free of charge.”
The ESC secretary also had a direct message for applicants whose names are not on the shortlist. “Those whose names do not appear on the shortlist should consider themselves unsuccessful,” he said.
