The lists showing the names of students admitted on government sponsorship under the national merit scheme at Muni University, Busitema University and Soroti University have been released.
At Busitema University, the list released by academic registrar Dr Lillian Nabaasa Gimuguni a few slots shy of 100.
These have been admitted to pursue courses or academic programs such as Bachelor of Agricultural Mechanisation and Irrigation Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Agro-Processing Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, among others.
2025_2026 Busitema University National Merit Admission List
At Muni University, up to 73 students have been admitted on various courses or academic programs.
They have been admitted to pursue courses or something such as Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Natural Resources, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Services, Bachelor of Nursing Science, and Bachelor of Information Systems, among others.
Muni University Admission List Government Sponsorship 2025-2026)
For Soroti University, the list released by Academic Registrar James Gregory Okello has about 60 students admitted on government sponsorship under the national merit scheme.
These have been admitted to pursue courses or academic programs such as Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance and Computing, Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery as well as Bachelor of Nursing Science.

Every year, Government of Uganda sponsors about 4,000 students to pursue university education at public universities.
