LIST: See Names of 4000 Diploma Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff Shortlisted for Aptitude Tests for Government Payroll Jobs (Buganda, Busoga Seed Schools)

Some Names for Other Northern, Eastern Region Seed Schools Included

First lady Janet Museveni’s Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Education Service Commission (ESC), has shortlisted over 4000 diploma teachers (assistant education officers – AEO) and non-teaching staff for government payroll jobs in seed schools at secondary level. 

The 4000 shortlisted candidates are those who will be doing aptitude tests under clusters 10,8,3 and part of 5,4 under the recruitment exercise for teachers and non-teaching staff for secondary seed schools under the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program (UGIFT).

The shortlisted candidates for clusters 10,8,3 and part of 5, 4  responded to ESC Advert No. 4/2024 published on December 23, 2024 for the posts of teaching staff or teachers – Education Officer (EO), and Assistant Education Officer (AEO); as well as Non-teaching Staff (NTS): Senior Accountant Assistant (SAA), Enrolled Nurses, Stenographer Secretaries, Library Assistants and Laboratory Assistants.

“The list for successful applicants who will be shortlisted for oral interviews will be published… at a later date. It will also include names of applicants directly shortlisted for oral interviews for different subjects in different schools under Clusters 10, 8, 3 and Part of 5, 4 whose applicants to subject ratios did not require Aptitude Testing,” said ESC secretary Dr Asuman Lukwago.

“All Shortlisted applicants must appear for the Aptitude Tests as scheduled and MUST come along with National Identity Cards.”

The seed schools in Busoga include Kagumba Seed SS in Kamuli District, Nabwigulu Seed SS Kamuli District, Nabweyo Seed SS in Namutumba District, Wairrasa Seed SS in Mayuge District, Buwala Seed SS in Jinja District, Budhaya Seed SS Bugiri District, Bumanya Seed SS Kaliro District, Mpiita Seed SS in Bugweri District, and Nawampiti Seed SS Luuka District.

In Buganda, the seeds schools include St John’s Nalongo Seed SS in Luwero District, Bweema Seed SS in Buvuma District, Nsambya Seed SS in Kyankwanzi District, Gyagenda Memorial Seed SS in Kalangala District, Katovu Seed SS in Lwengo District, Kasaali Seed SS in Kyotera District, Kikamulo Seed SS in Nakaseke District and Nakitoma Seed SS Nakasongola District.

There are other names for schools from other regions in Northern and Eastern Uganda that have been included.

The Aptitude Test will be conducted at the three centers of Makerere University, College of Computing and Information Sciences, Kololo Senior Secondary School and Mengo Senior School on different dates as indicated in the lists.

Dr Lukwago added that ESC services are free, and that lists for other clusters will be released in coming days and weeks.

“The dates for conducting Aptitude Tests for the remaining Clusters will be communicated very soon. Those whose names do not appear on the shortlist under Clusters 10, 8, 3 and Part of 5, 4 should consider themselves unsuccessful,” he noted.

“All services by the Education Service Commission are free of charge.”
