The Education Service Commission (ESC), under the Ministry of Education and Sports, has released the names of 1300 teachers and non-teaching staff shortlisted for oral interviews for Busoga seed schools’ jobs.
The shortlisted candidates passed aptitude tests administered weeks ago and will now go for oral interviews, the final hurdle in the quest for government payroll jobs.
Busoga region is under cluster eight in the recruitment exercise for teachers and non-teaching staff for secondary seed schools constructed under the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer (UGIFT) Program.
The oral interviews are scheduled for next week, according to ESC permanent secretary Dr Asuman Lukwago.

“Shortlisted candidates should come along with originals of their Academic! Professional Certificates and Transcripts, plus National Identity Cards,” noted Lukwago.
“Candidates should endeavor to appear as scheduled; requests for rescheduling will not be accepted.”
He went on to make it clear that candidates whose names do not appear on the list should consider themselves unsuccessful, and that shortlisted candidates should not pay anyone money as “services provided by Education Services Commission are free of charge.”
