Kampala, Uganda — A number of students have scooped scholarships, according to an additional Government Admission List for the 2026/2027 academic year, confirming successful applicants admitted through re-marked and appeal cases.Â
A total of 66 students were admitted under the National Merit Re-marked Cases category, while 31 candidates secured admission through the National Merit Appeals category, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 97.

Makerere University remains the largest beneficiary of the admissions, with additional placements made at Busitema University, Gulu University, Kyambogo University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Lira University, Kabale University, Muni University, Mountains of the Moon University, Soroti University and other public institutions.
The mop-up list offers another opportunity to candidates whose fortunes changed after the re-marking process or whose appeals were found to merit government sponsorship.
Students whose names appear on the lists are expected to follow guidance from their respective universities regarding reporting dates, registration procedures and orientation programmes ahead of the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic year.
