Top and worst performing universities and other institutions in Uganda have been named in the latest Webometrics ranking for 2022.
A ranking system for the world’s universities based on the volume of the web content, visibility, and the impact of web publications, Webometrics rankings are published by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid, Spain.
Makerere University has continued to dominate the higher learning field, followed by Kampala International University (KIU).
Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Must), Kyambogo University, and Busitema University complete the country’s top five.
A total of 65 universities and other tertiary institutions have been ranked.
