Security operatives have arrested human rights lawyer Nicholas Opiyo from a hotel in Kampala.
The officers who arrested Opiyo were dressed in plain clothes.
They found the Chapter Four Uganda director at Lamaro Restaurant in Kamwokya, Kampala.
The operatives handcuffed him and drove him to an unknown place.
Opiyo is handling the case in which the Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) and the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) accuse Uganda NGO Forum and Uganda Women’s Network (Uwonet) of financing terrorism.
