The King or Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV has taken up a new job weeks after graduating from Yale University in the United States of America.
The Kyabazinga is now the chancellor of Lubega Institute of Science and Health Professionals Institute in Iganga Municipality.
In his capacity as chancellor, Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, who holds two masters degrees and is pursuing his doctorate, will be the titular head of Lubega Institute of Science and Health Professionals Institute Iganga.
He will preside over ceremonial assemblies. The Kyabazinga will also confer diplomas and certificates as well as other academic titles that the institute may offer.
Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV was Installed during a ceremony held recently at the institute situated in Busei village of Iganga Municipality.
At the installation event, Dr Muhamadi Lubega, the Executive Director of Lubega Institute of Nursing and Health Professionals, handed over the instruments of the office of the chancellor, the mace and chancellor medallion, to the Kyabazinga.
Dr Lubega is the first deputy prime minister of the Kingdom of Busoga.
Speaking after the installation of William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV as Chancellor f Lubega Institute of Nursing and Health Professionals, Dr Lubega said the installation marked a new chapter in the king’s commitment to institutional excellence, health development and the empowerment of Uganda’s next generation of professionals.
“His rare blend of traditional legitimacy, academic distinction and international advocacy makes him an exemplary figure in Africa leadership hence his nomination as Chancellor of Lubega Institute of Nursing and Health Professionals,” Lubega said of the Kyabazinga.
