2021 was officially opened with a record win of Shs 228 million from Fortebet for a Kajjansi mechanic who staked IK (Shs1,000).
This is the first mega win in 2021, after closing last year with two billion winning customers.

On his ticket number 3106518624009999, he picked a long list of 45 matches which all won.
The safety of his odds was his key to winning.
He never minded about the weight of the odds, but rather about their safety.
For example, he included odd 1.05, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12 among others with his biggest odd being 1.97.
His money was fully paid to him on Tuesday at Kololo head office.
While receiving his cash, the winner, whose identity has been withheld, said, “I did not sleep the last night when my ticket stood with a game to win.”
“I was very tense but, my goodness, Chelsea won,” he added.
“I missed opportunities to winning big money by one or two matches before, all the luck was on my side.”
He started betting with Fortebet in 2016, winning 1.6 million once and now 228 million.
“I was a mechanic, but my last day of work was when I won this money. I am now going to start my own projects,” he added.
