Shock as Body of P5 Pupil is Found Hanging in School Dormitory

Kololo Junior School

There was shock as body of P5 pupil was found hanging in school dormitory in Wakiso District.

A 14-year-old Primary Five pupil, John Terry Kiseka, was found dead in a suspected su!cide at Kololo Junior School in Gombe A Cell, Gombe Ward, Wakiso Town Council in Wakiso District.

The incident happened on March 3, 2026, around 8 pm. in the school dormitory. Fellow pupils discovered the body hanging.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala also noted that as pupils returned to the dormitory from evening prep, they found the body of John Terry Kiseka hanging inside the dormitory.

According to Kawala, the body was found suspended with a red scarf tied to a roofing pole.

She went on to note that the pupils notified the matron, who in turn informed the school director.

The school director and matron have been arrested to assist with investigations.

The body has been taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Kawala urged parents, guardians, and schools to be vigilant and report signs of depression or distress in children, emphasizing the importance of talking to kids both at school and at home.

There have been some cases of school children hanging themselves, including a six year old who hanged herself after she was transferred to a village school, as reported Here.
