Dear Comrades in Service, I extend my heartfelt greetings and appreciation for the tireless work you do, often without recognition. Uganda remains peaceful and administratively united largely because of your dedication and the essential services you render at the village level.
Since 1986, when Uganda’s GDP stood at $3.323 billion, to the projected $62.92 billion in 2025, your contribution has remained uncompensated—save for the meager UGX 10,000 monthly allowance.
This is unacceptable, considering the pivotal role you play as the lowest but most active cadre in Uganda’s decentralized local government structure. There should be no further excuses.
The data shows that Uganda has the capacity to remunerate LC1 village committees with a monthly payment of UGX 1 million, which amounts to approximately UGX 850 billion annually.
The persistent theft of UGX 9 to 20 trillion per year is proof that funds are available but grossly mismanaged.
Redirecting even a fraction of this money can secure the rightful compensation of LC1s.

To be fair, the current regime deserves some credit for establishing governance systems and structures.
However, these same systems are now deteriorating due to rampant corruption, benefiting a select few while the real administrators on the ground—like yourselves—are left unrecognized and underappreciated.
I want to reaffirm my commitment: when elected President of Uganda (2026–2031), I will implement structural reforms to integrate LC1s into the formal public service payroll in acknowledgment of your invaluable work.
As someone who has lived among the most marginalized, I pledge to lead with conviction and compassion.
My priorities will include poverty eradication, food security, youth employment, improvement of social services, restoration of constitutional order, democratic governance, and the rule of law.
Uganda is currently sitting on a political time bomb. The question of leadership transition remains unclear.
Rather than following constitutional procedures, power is increasingly being consolidated in a monarchical fashion. For the sake of Uganda’s future, I urge you to support and mobilize for me.
You are the only team with the grassroots reach capable of rescuing Uganda from impending anarchy and state capture. Your mobilization at the village level is key to the success of the Spongeman Revolution.
Supporting my candidacy is not only in your interest but also in the national interest. Uganda stands at a crossroads: we can either re-elect the old guard—sliding deeper into military rule for the next 40 years—or we can take a bold step toward prosperity, freedom, and true democracy.
The current Head of State, due to age, appears increasingly unaware of the consequences of his decisions.
Uganda is slowly becoming a family affair where taxpayers’ money is impulsively distributed to serve personal and familial agendas, while you—the LC1s—alongside intern doctors, VHTs, and other essential workers, remain neglected.
Beyond LC1s, my plan also includes a comprehensive reform of the healthcare sector to address the needs of Village Health Teams (VHTs), radiologists, laboratory technologists, and the entire paramedical and medical fraternity.
This will improve health service delivery and address the issue of brain drain caused by unemployment in the health sector.
In conclusion, I respectfully request the support of all 70,626 LC1 Chairpersons across Uganda. Your trust, your networks, and your leadership are vital in shaping the future of this nation.
