HE SHOULD GO TO JAIL: Pastor Bujjingo Tormentor Gives Reasons Why Court Should not Grant Suzan Makula’s Man Bail Tomorrow

As we have reported earlier, Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo of House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) and Suzan Makula Nantaba are expected to appear before Entebbe Chief Magistrate’s Court on Friday, January 21, 2022.

Now, ahead of the hearing, Mabirizi has filed an affidavit in objection to grant of bail to Pastor Bujjingo on three grounds.

The lawyer says that Bujjingo threatened him with death; that he is likely to interfere with the witnesses mainly those under his control and employment; and that investigations are complete.

“THAT I know that the accusations of CONTRACTING MARRIAGE BY CUSTOMARY LAW WHEN ALREADY MARRIED UNDER THE MARRIAGE ACT and BIGAMY are serious and constitute grave offences which are only punishable by a custodial sentence without an option for a fine,” wrote Mabirizi in his affidavit.

“THAT I know that first accused has no fixed place of abode within the area of this court’s jurisdiction, him being a resident of Nakedde Village, Namayumba Town Council, Wakiso district, far away from thegeographical jurisdiction of this Court. THAT I know that the first accused is likely to interfere with most of the witnesses for the prosecution or any of the evidence to be tendered in support of the charges.”
