HATERS’ MOUTHS SHUT as Canary Mugume & Sasha Ferguson Appear Lovey-Dovey at Blu3 Reunion after Breakup Rumors

At this rate, Ugandan social media in-laws and those wishing other people’s marriages end in tears will learn to mind their business. Canary Mugume and Sasha Ferguson (real name Fiona Nagirinya) have used their relationship to teach those who were celebrating their alleged breakup a lesson.

For a few months now, rumors had swirled around with social media claims that the marriage between Canary Mugume, the NBS TV news anchor and reporter, and his legally wedded wife Sasha Ferguson.

Longtime sweethearts, Canary Mugume wedded Sasha Ferguson in 2021 at Pastor Robert Kayanja’s Mirace Centre Cathedral Rubaga in Kampala. The powerful and mighty of Kampala – including billionaire Sudhir Ruparelia – attended their glamorous reception at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The couple has so far been blessed with a child and successful careers. But on social media, Sasha Ferguson has kept throwing what some interpreted as hints pointing to a troublesome marriage that could be close to a breakup.

For example, Sasha Fergusion said “there is a thin line between love and hate,” and talked of “new beginnings” that are “scary but worth it.” She also talked about challenges with people managing fame and spending time in bars.

“People who love deeply and selflessly are not a playground and fame is not everything. Always treasure your family because it’s what gives life true meaning not the people in the bars,” she said in the heat of rumors of her breakup with Canary Mugume.

Popular entertainment host Isaac Katende, popularly known as Kasuku, claimed that Pastor Robert Kayanja, the famous man of God who wedded the couple, had chaired a meeting to try and reconcile Canary Mugume and Sasha Ferguson, preventing a scenario where the couple could have seen their marriage end in premium tears.

“I heard Pastor Kayanja chaired a reconciliation meeting, but it looks very hard for the pair to mend their relationship because of what I have gathered,” Kasuku was quoted as saying of the alleged troubles between Sasha Ferguson and Canary Mugume.

Canary Mugume, who had been silent for most of the time the rumors of his breakup with Sasha Ferguson, erupted like a volcano, warning Kasuku to “leave my marriage and son out of your sensationalist vlogs that you do for likes and views!”

On June 22 night at the Blu3 reunion concert (where singers Lilian Mbabazi, Cindy Sanyu, and Jackie Chandiru wowed their fans after over 15 years of solo careers), Canary Mugume and Sasha Ferguson sought to silence their haters who had been gleefully celebrating thinking that their marriage had ended in premium tears. They might also have wanted to encourage those who believed in them that they were still together and love would continue to win.

Dressed for the occasion, the couple danced together and Canary Mugume used the occasion to peck at Sasha Ferguson. The public show of affection left many on social media shocked, with some swearing never to open their mouths when it comes to issues of relationships – where people have seen each other with clothes off.

Whether it was an appearance meant to mask a marriage on the rocks as some people are claiming or a genuine display of love, the couple has for now silenced haters, and could be making progress in as far as managing the struggles in marriages are concerned.
