NBS TV reporter Canary Mugume has ‘admitted’ that he was wrong regarding claims that President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s younger brother Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh was planning to visit President Paul Kagame in Rwanda.
The claims by Mugume and others had prompted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to issue a statement. (Read Story Here).
Shortly after the MoFA statement, the reporter said he had withdrawn his claims.
“I’ve retracted my tweet about Gen Salim Saleh’s visit to Kigali this week following the statement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Uganda that there’s no planned visit,” wrote Mugume.
