Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has appointed Brigadier General Chris Bagonza as the new UPDF Chief of Staff of the Land Forces (COS LF) with Headquarters in Bombo.
Until his latest posting Brigadier General Bagonza was the Deputy Joint Staff Human Resource Management at the Joint UPDF Services Headquarters in Mbuya serving under Brigadier General Jimmy Kinalwa.
He will now replace Brigadier General Micheal Kabango. Recently, Kabango was appointed the new Commandant of the Senior Command and Staff College Kimaka in Jinja.
CDF Gen Muhoozi has also appointed Colonel Nelson Ahebwa as the Deputy Joint Staff Chief Political Commissar of the UPDF currently headed by Major General Henry Masiko.
“The appointments take immediate effect,” said Chris Magezi Colonel Acting Director Defence Public Information.
“The UPDF fraternity congratulates the General and senior officers upon their well deserved appointments and wishes them good luck in their duties.”
