Bobi Wine Speaks Out on Speaker Jacob Oulanyah’s Death Rumors

NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has spoken out following fake news reports that speaker Jacob Oulanyah had passed on. 

Bobi Wine says he has talked to family members of speaker Jacob Oulanyah over his health condition.

Bobi Wine, whose NUP supporters protested in the US where Oulanyah was flown for treatment, wished the speaker a quick recovery.

“Reports of the continuing ill health of Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah have been of great concern. Over a week ago, I spoke to some family members and extended wishes for a quick recovery,” wrote Bobi Wine.

“All of us, despite our different political affiliations should unite and pray for his recovery.”

Oulanyah was rushed to the US in February 2022. (Read Story Here).

Deputy speaker Anita Annet Among would later tell MPs that Oulanyah was improving. (Read Story Here).

On March 15, Anita Among flew to the US to check on her boss Oulanyah. (Read Story Here).

Also visiting the speaker in the US is Chief Justice Owiny-Dollo and Oulanyah’s close family members. (Read Story Here).

Among and Owiny-Dollo flew to the US to check on Oulanyah amidst rumors that the speaker has died. (Read Story Here).

The rumors of Oulanyah’s death spread after Wikipedia published an update claiming he had breathed his last. (Read Story Here).
