Socialite Zari Hassan says presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine could be the right person to lead Uganda but his supporters make him look bad.
For days now, Zari and Bobi Wine’s People Power supporters have engaged in an online war of words.
The bitter exchanges started after Zari questioned Bobi Wine’s presidential credentials.
The singer-turned-politician’s supported responded to Zari with fire, bashing her as unfit to weigh who has presidential credentials or not.
Some such as music promoter Suudiman suggested that Zari sticks to makeup while other dug into her past scandals.
Now Zari has advised Bobi Wine to use his press conferences and live videos to rein in his supporters.
She even suggested that Bobi and his team should give their social media influencers a script to follow, clearly stating what to say or write.
Zari said it would even be unfair to label Bobi Wine’s supporters as ‘noise makers.’ She claimed most of them were uninformed.
The socialite also proposed that supporters focus on what People Power plans to do for Ugandans, instead of attacking those they disagree with.“If you can’t tell us who you are, what you stand for; if you stand for insults, then sorry you are not fit,” she said.
“If Bobi is fit but has hooligans, then you are discrediting the guy; you are leaving room for someone to step in. It’s a loophole for anyone to use against you.”
Zari further blasted slay queens who despise jobs but spend time blaming Museveni for their unemployment.“Unemployment is not only in Uganda. Start something small… start a food stall and slay while earning,” she went on.
“What are you doing about your life as a citizen? Neither Museveni nor any new president will wake one day and give you houses, offices or jobs.
“These jobs are created by us, citizens.”
