YOUR JUDGEMENT WAS INSPIRED BY SATAN! Angry Raila Odinga Attacks Supreme Court Judges

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition boss Raila Amollo Odinga has attacked the Supreme Court of Kenya over their ruling in the 2022 presidential election petition, saying it was inspired by the devil (Satan himself) and not God. 

Nearly a fortnight ago, Chief Justice Martha Koome and her fellow judges of the Supreme Court unanimously upheld the election of William Samoei Ruto as the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya, ending Odinga’s fifth bid to lead Kenya in tears.

Ruto, who was deputy president for 10 years, was sworn in as president a few days ago.

Odinga was out of the country while his running mate Martha Karua was playing golf as Ruto took oath. (Read Story Here).

After the ruling, CJ Koome said the judgment by the Supreme Court, for which she is president, as having been inspired by God.

“The verdict was for the sake of independence of institutions, especially the Judiciary. It was not due to our power as a court but because we serve a living faithful God,” said Koome while speaking at her late aunt Salome Maingi Gakii’s funeral at the MCK Muiteria Church in Imenti North.

But Odinga has said the judgement was inspired by the devil, and not God.

“Their judgment was not inspired by God but inspired by the devil. Chief Justice Koome has destroyed what has been built with 10 years,” said Odinga on Friday during a meeting of Azimio MPs in Machakos County.

He also took issue with the manner of words Koome and fellow judges used to dismiss the petition.

“The words that the Chief Justice used against us have never been used in our courts even in the dark days of single party rule and state capture of the judiciary. Chief Justice Koome described our case, presented by the country’s finest legal minds, as no more than hot air and a wild goose chase. It is my experience that whenever judges resort to insults in litigation it is the results of a disturbed conscience,” said Odinga.

He then instructed his Azimio MPs to ensure that they save Kenyan institutions from further capture by the Ruto administration.

“We have a responsibility as Azimio to take charge because we are the majority in parliament. We have to make use of our majority status to keep this government in check and if we do that, we will be playing the role the people elected us to do,” the veteran opposition leader submitted.

“We must save the Judiciary which is offering itself to state capture, transform and reform IEBC and make it able to conduct credible elections and to stop the legislature from offering itself to state capture and have it play its oversight role over the government.”
