President Paul Kagame with Museveni's son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba
First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has confirmed he will hold a second meeting with his uncle President Paul Kagame of Rwanda.
Lt Gen Kainerugaba, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s son, met Kagame in January 2022.
After this meeting, Rwanda announced it was reopening its Gatuna (Katuna) border point with Uganda after almost three years of closure. (Read Story Here).
But the border point remains closed to human traffic from both sides.
Now, Kainerugaba has revealed that he and Kagame have agreed to meet soon.
The decision for a second meeting followed a discussion between the first son and his uncle on February 28.
“After a long discussion with my uncle, President Kagame, this morning we have agreed that I return to Kigali in the coming days to sort out all outstanding issues between Uganda and Rwanda,” announced Museveni’s son.
