Singer Michael Mukwaya alias Mikie Wine, brother to opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, is on the spot after he featured Emmanuella Musimenta aka Pretty Nicole in his Kankutekemu music video.
Pretty Nicole shot to fame after a video of a one Kaftah Queen, a student at Trinity College Nabweru, beat her up for reportedly trying to steal her boyfriend.
Kaftah Queen was charged with aggravated torture contrary to section 2(1) (b) and 5(a) (h), (j) and (k) of the Prevention and Prohibition of Torture Act 2012.
Roseline Nsenge of the Kira Magistrates Court would sentence Kaftah Queen to three years in prison after convicting her of aggravated torture and causing harm to Pretty Nicole.
Pretty Nicole’s tormentor Kaftah Queen’s sentence was later overturned by Justice Margaret Mutonyi of the High Court in Kampala.
Since her assault case, Pretty Nicole has been a celebrity of sort on social media. And Bobi Wine’s younger brother, Mikie Wine, has found it okay to have her as a vixen in his latest video for the song, Kankutekemu.
A teaser shared by Mikie Wine shows Pretty Nicole as the main vixen. But Ugandans have criticized Mikie Wine for hiring an underage Pretty Nicole for his Kankutekemu music video.
Some have told Mikie Wine that it is an irresponsible act to use an underage and controversial Pretty Nicole as a video vixen since, according to them, it has potential for controversy which could hurt his brother, a promising politician in Uganda.
But some have defended Mikie Wine. “I can’t blame Mikie Wine. Pretty Nicole is just a vixen in his new video, so this was bound to happen. She’s irresistibly gorgeous and of course Mikie had to act up just like he did with Pinky. Newemba nze…” noted a one Enock iWitness.
“I wish the same energy you are using to crucify Mickie was the same energy you use towards the corrupt officials,” wrote a one Newton Allan.
“Me as me, I have no problem with him. Pretty Nicole has bills to pay and secondly, we have a lot going on in our country. This can’t be the worst of all.”
