Schools closed for 42 days, unvaccinated teachers won’t be allowed in class after reopening

President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has announced closure of schools and education institutions starting June 07.

Museveni said the national Covid19 taskforce was concerned by the number of cases in the education institutions.

Schools have been ordered to close starting 8am Monday.

The president has ordered all teachers to use the 42 days to get vaccinated.

He warned teachers who won’t be vaccinated by the time schools reopen won’t be allowed to return to class.
