SCHOOL REOPENING: Minister Janet Museveni Set to Address Nation

Education and sports minister Janet Museveni is expected to brief the nation about reopening of schools and several other issues in the education sector.

Last week, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni announced reopening of universities and other tertiary institutions will reopen at the start of November 2021.

President Museveni also directed that primary and secondary schools be reopened in January 2022.

But Museveni’s school reopening declarations were greeted with criticism from education sector stakeholders and political players.

Now, education ministry spokesperson Dr Dennis Mugimba has confirmed Janet Museveni will deliver her address this Friday.

“Janet Museveni will hold a Press Briefing on Friday, 01st of October 2021 at 4 p.m. to address several areas of public interest about education,” announced Dr Mugimba.
