Salim Saleh: ‘The People I Killed Are Waiting to Welcome Me in Heaven’

Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh believes the people he has killed during wars are waiting to welcome him in heaven, his nephew has revealed.

Gen Saleh, the national coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), was one of the most feared soldiers in the NRA liberation war which his eldest brother Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni commanded between 1980-86.

His ruthlessness in battle won him the name ‘Rufu’ (Death).

Now, according to his nephew Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Gen Saleh once told him he believed the people he killed are waiting to welcome him in heaven.

“In UPDF there has always been 1 Achilles! The rest of us are imitations. His name is Salim Saleh Rufu!” wrote Lt Gen Kainerugaba.

“Afande Saleh told me in 1986… ‘At night I see their faces, all the men I’ve killed…they are waiting for me in heaven! They say welcome brother!”

The first son, also Commander Land Forces, further believes the angels will one day welcome his uncle for fighting for a good cause.

“He fought for the good course and so will the Angels of God welcome Him in Heaven, for whoever threatened the peace of the children of God, God had to pay them and had to use the iron hand to eliminate them, Much love.”
