DJ Bush Baby, real name Michael Benjamin Owori, has been found dead in his studio in Entebbe Municipality. DJ Bush Baby was aged about 50, having been born in 1975.
The news of his sudden death has shocked entertainment industry players and fans who loved his work.
A celebrated deejay and media personality, DJ Bush Baby was one of Uganda’s most respected deejays who popularized genres like hip hop, R&B, and urban contemporary music.
DJ Bush Baby had worked with a number of media stations such as Capital FM, Sanyu FM, NXT Radio, Urban TV and UBC. He had begun his career at the Green Channel of Radio Uganda.
He also hosted the Uganda Central show on EATV.
The body of DJ Bush Baby was found in his studio found in Entebbe. His friends had become suspicious after they failed to reach him through his known mobile numbers as no response came through.
Other reports said that DJ Bush Baby had been missing since Tuesday, June 03, 2025, with family and friends unable to reach him.
They would later go to his place where they forced the door open to search inside.
They found his body lifeless. The friends and family reportedly called in police which cordoned off the studio, treating as a scene of sudden death.
The cause of DJ Bush Baby’s death was yet to be confirmed as a postmortem examination was yet to to be conducted.
